By the start of 2020, my practice had grown considerably in both Seattle and New York. I wanted to offer clients additional services e.g., landscape concepts, lighting design, and complete interior finish schedules, along with several services that relate to sustainability and green building. I also wanted to associate with a professional with whom I could collaborate.
When I left for New York last February, I didn’t have a clue that my life and the lives of everyone I know were going to be rocked by a global pandemic; that I was going be stranded in New Yok until July; and shock of a lifetime - the economic recession caused by the pandemic did not drag housing down with it. To the contrary, interest in building has mushroomed during this period of restricted logistics.
It was during this time that one of my Seattle clients introduced me to Tanya Nachia. Tanya did her undergraduate work in architecture at the Rhode Island School of Design and received her professional degree in architecture at the University of Washington. She had worked at high profile architectural firms in New York and Seattle on both commercial and residential projects and now had her own practice in Seattle doing new homes and addition/renovation work.
Not only is Tanya a capable professional; she is personable and client focused. A parent of twins, she has lived through the last year with the same struggles as most of us, sheltering in place and redefining the meaning of “home.”
Tanya will manage some of our Washington projects and will work with me on others as well as coordinating our expanded menu of services.
I could not be more pleased than to officially introduce Tanya Nachia to my clients and prospective clients. And stay tuned for new products and programs that reflect the redefinition of home.
