Modern design is a response to the major events of our times, Events that will have long-lasting effects on how we live.
The Covid-19 pandemic of 2020 touched every citizen of the planet. No individual… no family… no household has gone unaffected. For most of us it has been the event of our lifetimes.
The notion of “home” took on a fuller meaning than ever before. Most existing homes could not accommodate every aspect of the shelter in place mandate; deficiencies quickly became apparent.
We believe that these needs and design amenities to address them are the mandate of the future, the details of a new modernism. Designing to alleviate these needs will make fundamental changes to well-planned homes, changes that will make “home” a healthier better-rounded place for more than “off-time” leisure.

Over the last several years, our practice has grown considerably as has my desire to expand our capabilities. I began my search or a colleague who could work with me to meet the evolving needs of our clients, and I am very pleased to inform you that Tanya Nachia has joined Warmmodern Living.

Perhaps in the last several months, while sheltering in place, you’ve made mental notes about aspects of your present home that you would change in order to enhance your effectiveness in warding off infection.
The wonder of a new home is not only what the house looks like, but more so how well it works. In my work with clients, as we delve into those aspects of daily life would make life easier or more enjoyable, I urge clients to think about simple details; think evolution and not revolution. What positive attributes of your current home do we want to enhance, and what desirable attributes are missing?
